A Portion of Tuition Payments Now Supports Non-Profit Initiatives to Overcome Financial Barriers

Petaluma, CALIFORNIA - January 27, 2026-- Strides Riding Academy, LLC has announced a new initiative, designed to expand access to horseback riding for students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate. Beginning February 1, 2026, a portion of all tuition payments will be directed to a dedicated non-profit organization that provides scholarships and financial assistance for aspiring riders.

For many students, the cost of equestrian sports can be a significant barrier. This initiative is intended to help remove that obstacle, opening the door for children and adults to experience the confidence, responsibility, and personal growth that come from working with horses.

At Strides Riding Academy, horseback riding is viewed as more than a sport. Students learn patience, communication, resilience, and leadership—skills that extend well beyond the barn. By supporting this non-profit, the academy aims to ensure that more students can benefit from these experiences, regardless of financial circumstance.

“I have wanted to help get this non-profit off the ground for many years and decided it was now time to get the ball rolling in whatever capacity we can" said Maggie Clancy, CEO of Strides Riding Academy. “For those who receive scholarships, it means access to a safe, supportive environment where they can build confidence, develop life skills, and form meaningful connections with horses and mentors. We’re proud to play a small role in making that possible.”

Funds raised through the non-profit will be used to provide scholarships for lessons and programming, allowing recipients to participate in horse-related learning more consistently. For many students, this support can be the difference between a one-time experience and a sustained opportunity to grow, learn, and belong within the equestrian community.

Strides Riding Academy’s instructional approach emphasizes thoughtful horsemanship, personal responsibility, and steady skill development. By partnering with a non-profit focused on access and inclusion, the academy is helping create pathways for new riders to discover their potential both in and out of the saddle.

This initiative reflects a broader commitment to community impact—supporting students not only as riders, but as individuals gaining confidence, discipline, and a sense of possibility through their time with horses.
