Tree Trust Launches Fall 2025 Planting Season, Invites Community to Volunteer
St. Paul, Minnesota - September 8, 2025-- Tree Trust announces the start of its Fall 2025 Tree Planting Season, calling on volunteers to help transform lives and landscapes by strengthening green spaces across the Twin Cities metro.

Tree Trust plantings make a great volunteer activity for individuals and groups!
This season, Tree Trust is expanding its reach to Wright County as well as Mahtomedi—bringing the benefits of trees to even more communities. Each tree planted supports cleaner air, cooler neighborhoods, stronger ecosystems, and healthier places for people to live, work, and play.
This fall, Tree Trust will work with communities to plant and distribute 3,000 trees through eight tree distribution events and 21 tree planting events. These efforts are part of a broader goal to strengthen the urban tree canopy and create a healthier, more resilient environment for all.
“Fall is a season of change, and at Tree Trust, it’s a time to take action that makes a real difference,” said Karen Zumach, Director of Community Forestry at Tree Trust. “Trees provide more than beauty—they clean our air, provide shade, support wildlife, and bring our neighborhoods to life. By volunteering to plant and care for trees, individuals, families, and groups help build greener, healthier communities that will benefit everyone for generations to come.”
