Company Management

Press Ranger organizes everything around companies. A company can be a brand, business, nonprofit, personal brand, or client. Each company has its own press releases, media room, contact lists, campaigns, and CRM entries. When you switch companies, the dashboard, AI suggestions, and generated content all adapt to that company's profile.

You can manage your companies at pressranger.com/settings/companies.

Adding multiple companies requires an upgraded plan. Your first company is always free.

Adding a Company

  1. Go to Your Companies and click "Add a company."
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Company name
    • Website URL
    • Categories (up to 10) - These are weighted heavily for media contact recommendations
    • Languages the company operates in
    • Short description - Appears in the footer of your press releases and on your media room
    • City, State, and Country (HQ location)
    • Media room visibility - Choose "Make my company media room public" or "Keep my company private"
  3. Upload a company logo (400px+ wide/tall, JPG or PNG, max 5MB). This appears on press releases and your media room.
  4. Fill in spokesperson information:
    • Name - Defaults to your account name if left empty
    • Email - Defaults to your account email if left empty
    • Phone (optional)
    • Address (optional)
  5. Add social media links: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube. These appear on your media room.
  6. Optionally configure a custom media room URL (see Media Rooms for details).
  7. Click "Save."

The Company List

The company list page shows all of your companies in a table. Each row displays the company name, a "Default" badge if it is the currently active company, and action buttons:

  • Edit - Update the company profile
  • View media room - Opens the public media room (only shown for public companies)
  • Customize - Opens the branding editor (only shown for public companies)
  • Delete - Permanently remove the company (only available to account owners, not team members)

Switching Companies

Click the company name in the header bar at the top of the screen to open a dropdown. Select a different company to switch to it. When you switch:

  • Dashboard suggestions and AI recommendations update to match the new company's categories and profile.
  • New press releases, campaigns, and contact lists will be associated with the selected company.
  • The company name displays in the header so you always know which company you are working in.

How Companies Affect the Platform

  • Press releases are published under the active company. The company description, spokesperson info, and logo appear in the press release footer.
  • AI suggestions on the Dashboard recommend journalists and publishers based on the active company's categories.
  • Campaigns and contact lists are tied to a specific company.
  • Media rooms are per-company. Each company gets its own public URL, branding, and press release feed.

Tips

  • Create a separate company for each brand or client. This keeps press releases, contact lists, and campaigns cleanly separated.
  • Fill in categories carefully. They drive the AI recommendations for journalists and publishers on the dashboard.
  • Keep your spokesperson info up to date. It appears on every press release and media room for that company.
  • If you manage companies for clients, use team members with company access rules to limit who can see what.
